Avianne Hospedales, MD, is a Regional Chief Medical Officer for ChenMed, one of the country's leading primary care providers, transforming healthcare for underserved, Medicare-eligible seniors across the country.

Dr. Hospedales is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and is most passionate about preventive medicine. After her mother passed from colon cancer, she made it her mission to educate patients about the importance of completing health screenings and check-ups for preventative diseases. Her dedication to detecting and managing high-risk conditions, while constantly providing patients with VIP care at an affordable price to reduce hospital visits, has earned respect from peers across the medical community.

"The most important thing you can do in life is to have an impact and make a difference," says Dr. Hospedales. She does this daily by helping seniors achieve better health by building relationships and gaining trust. Her ChenMed career started in 2015 as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) straight out of residency. Dr. Hospedales successfully cared for a large panel of patients, which earned her a promotion to Medical Director in 2018. She says her most significant achievement was launching the Palm Beach market of three Dedicated Senior Medical Centers. Recruiting the best doctors to show love, accountability, and passion to the patients was very important to her. Her centers in that market still see continued success because of her team's hard work and dedication.

Before joining ChenMed, Dr. Hospedales completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, Bronx, New York City. Dr. Hospedales received an M.D. from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, while also being on the Dean’s List and an active Iota Epsilon Alpha Member.

Dr. Hospedales enjoys spending time with her son and family in her spare time. She loves traveling and finds it peaceful to connect with nature. She also loves coming to work at ChenMed every day!
