About The Event

Physician Recruitment, VBC November 2021
Event Type: Physician Event

Did you know about 80% of internal medicine residents don’t end up pursuing careers in primary care? That’s why we’re so thankful for the residents that do, and some of those have become clinical leaders here at ChenMed.

Meet a few of those former residents and learn why they chose a path in primary care to change the future of healthcare.

About the Speakers:

About Dr. Alexandria Beranger: Dr. Alexandria Beranger is the Regional Chief Clinical Officer for our Broward and Palm Beach County locations in South Florida. Dr. Beranger knows that when patients feel supported by their doctor, they can benefit from a better care experience. “I’m dedicated to providing quality patient care and education that empowers seniors to take charge of their health. Healthcare issues, especially for Seniors, can be complicated,” she says. “They deserve doctors who listen, not lecture, and who make time to know them on a deeper level. It builds the trust that’s so important in the doctor-patient relationship.”

About Dr. Jonathan Wynbrandt: Dr. Jonathan Wynbrandt is the Regional Chief Clinical Officer for our Ohio locations. While working in the underserved communities of Columbus and Cleveland after college, Dr. Wynbrandt witnessed healthcare disparities and decided to pursue a medical career to help. As an internal medicine physician, he has cared for patients and served in many leadership roles—in academic medicine, for a residency program, on several boards and committees, and overseeing care.

About Dr. Sameena Kaur: Dr. Sameena Kaur is the Center Medical Director at our Dedicated Senior Medical Center in West Philadelphia. Dr. Kaur has been fascinated with the human body since early childhood, and she loves being able to help people as a physician. “My favorite part is making meaningful connections with patients and establishing relationships that go beyond just medical care,” she says. Part of that includes giving patients a safe place to share—their concerns, stories, and whatever is on their minds.

About Dr. Arezo Farhangi: Dr. Arezo Farhangi is a new doctor at ChenMed and works at the Center Medical Director at our Dedicated Senior Medical Center in Palm Beach County just off West Atlantic Avenue. Dr. Farhangi’s grandfather inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. As a physician, she considers herself an advocate for her patients, especially the seniors. “It’s rewarding to help my patients live the healthiest life they can,” Dr. Farhangi says. She views her patients as people first and strives to get to know each one.
