More Than 300 Atlanta Seniors to Receive COVID-19 Vaccines at JenCare in Decatur

WHO: More than 300 at-risk Decatur area residents, primarily Medicare-eligible seniors ages 65 and older; 20 JenCare Senior Medical Center volunteers, including doctors, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and operations leaders; District 3 Commissioner Larry Johnson; staff from DeKalb Board of Health and DeKalb Human Services Department; ChenMed Regional Chief Medical Officer, James Harrington, M.D.; JenCare Drs. Schuyler Livingston (bilingual English/Spanish), Ijeoma Ejigiri, Evelyn Campbell-Bayaan, and Ingrid Da Costa (blingual English/Spanish).

WHAT: COVID-19 vaccinations will be safely administered on a first come, first served basis as a community service. The one-day mass-vaccination event is being led by JenCare Senior Medical Center primary care physicians working closely with community partners to vaccinate thousands of most-at-risk Atlanta elderly residents during the past 10 weeks.
